Nanchang Metro Line 1 is the first subway line in Nanchang. The first phase of the project has a total length of 28.9 kilometers and 24 stations. It connects Changbei Economic Development Zone, Honggutan New District, Donghu District, Qingshan Lake District, and High-tech Zone. The starting and ending stations are respectively Shuanggang Station and Yaohu West Station.
The subway line started construction on July 29, 2009. It was originally planned to open in October 2014. However, due to the tedious and complicated problems of traffic relief and land acquisition and demolition in the actual construction of Nanchang Metro Line 1, the actual opening time was delayed compared with the original plan. It has been more than a year, and it has been put into trial operation on September 10, 2015, and officially launched with passengers on December 26, 2015. The large-screen monitoring was won by STONBEL Technology Co., Ltd. and completed in August 2015
